The film is a sequel to the second movie and it delivers on what you would expect from this franchise. The action sequences are epic, especially with the introduction of new dragon species that keep things fresh.
In addition, there are plenty of emotional moments in this third installment as well as some great comedy bits.

In the movie “How to Train Your Dragon” by Dreamworks, vikings live in a time of peace and prosperity. This is until they encounter dragons that raid their villages for food and gold. In 2007, Warner Bros. CEO Barry Meyer announced that he was stepping down from his position as head of the studio and would be replaced with Alan Horn.
It was during this time that Disney began to show interest in purchasing Harry Potter films rights from Warner Bros., but negotiations broke down between the companies due to a lack of agreement on which company should take responsibility for making the movies.
Eventually, it was revealed that Universal Studios had picked up the film rights for Harry Potter after talks heated back up between Disney and Warner Bros..
Although it was never officially confirmed, speculation is strong that Disney tried to buy the rights to Harry Potter and use him as a mascot for their parks.
